                <ab xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0"><lb n="1"/>Ξενόκριτος εἶπε· Πρωτόμαχον<lb n="2"/>Ἐπινίκου Κιανὸν πρόξενον<lb n="3"/>ἦμεν τᾶς πόλιος τᾶς Κώιων κα[ὶ]<lb n="4"/>ἐκγόνος, ἦμεν δ᾿ αὐτοῖς ἔσπλουν<lb n="5"/>καὶ ἔκπλουν καὶ ἐμ πολέμωι καὶ<lb n="6"/>ἐν εἰράναι ἀσυλεὶ καὶ ἀσπονδεὶ<lb n="7"/>καὶ αὐτοῖς καὶ χρήμασι. ἔδοξε<lb n="8"/>τᾶι βουλᾶι καὶ τᾶι ἐκκλησίαι, γνώ–<lb n="9"/>μα προστατᾶν· χ[ρ]ῆσθαι τᾶι <hi rend="smallit">vacat</hi><lb n="10"/>Ξε[νοκρίτου] ἐφ[ό]δω[ι].</ab>

Epinikos aus Kios <hi rend="italic">proxenos</hi><lb n="3"/>der Stadt der Koer sei, er und seine<lb n="4"/>Nachkommen; dass ihnen sein sollen freie Ein-<lb n="5"/>und Ausfahrt im Krieg und<lb n="6"/>im Frieden ungestört und ohne Vertrag,<lb n="7"/>für sie und ihr Vermögen. Beschluss<lb n="8"/>von Rat und Volksversammlung, nach Vorlage<lb n="9"/>der Vorsteher: dass man den<lb n="10"/>Vortrag des Xenokritos übernehme.</ab></div><div type="translation" xml:lang="EN" resp="Kent Rigsby"><ab xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0"><lb n="1"/>Xenokritos proposed: Protomachos<lb n="2"/>son of Epinikos, from Kios, is to be a <hi rend="italic">proxenos</hi><lb n="3"/>of the city of the Coans, and<lb n="4"/>his descendants; they are to have free import<lb n="5"/>and export in both war and<lb n="6"/>peace exempt from seizure and without treaty,<lb n="7"/>for both themselves and their goods. It was decreed<lb n="8"/>by the council and assembly, proposal<lb n="9"/>of the <hi rend="italic">prostatai</hi>: to use the<lb n="10"/>formula of Xenokritos.</ab></div>
